Sandra Rivers-Gill is a poet, writer, performer and playwright living in Toledo, Ohio. She has been a featured poet around Toledo and in Dayton, Ohio. Her poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Flights Literary Magazine, The Kerf, UChange and Sketchpad. She is a 2017 Honorable Mention, 2014 First Place and 2010 Second Place recipient from the Toledo Museum of Art Ekphrastic Writing Competition and Second Place winner of the Ode to the Zip Code Contest, a 2015 Finalist for the Promedica Revealing Hunger Spoken Word and the Toledo Poetry Sidewalks Project Competitions. Sandra served as the 2016 Literary Chair of the PRIZM Creative Community Art-A-Fair Exhibition and has conducted poetry workshops for nursing home residents. She is currently a poetry instructor for a non-profit treatment facility for women in recovery. Sandra has a Bachelors Degree in Communication from the University of Toledo and is currently working on several volumes of poetry.
